The Central Valley Stock Exchange (CVSE) is a mock “Stock Exchange” event showcasing
Central Valley small businesses and
entrepreneurs.
Upon registering, each guest receives $1 million in CVBI Bucks that he/she
can invest in any amount to any combination of companies; plus one special
“golden ticket” that represents that guest’s “Super Investment” in a single
industry. The “golden ticket” allows that
guest to be a real “Venture Capitalist!”
During the trading session, guests take on the role of “High Stakes
Investors,” and are encouraged to see demonstrations and “pitches” from all the
entrepreneurs, investing their $1 Million CVBI Bucks as they see fit.
Some may give all of their $1 Million to one company, while others diversify.
Investors will want to invest in the companies they believe has what it takes
to “make it big!”
CVSE provides a chance for local businesses and community leaders to meet
and mingle with the Valley’s brightest Entrepreneurs and Start-Up Business,
while enjoying excellent food and wine. Therefore,
everyone benefits. CVBI, SBDC and WET Incubator gain name recognition; entrepreneurs gain
potential sponsorship leads; attendees gain knowledge about new businesses and
how they can benefit from their services; and the community benefits from
innovation and technology that revitalizes the Central Valley.
